The Garden

Well it is almost mid August and with that it should be harvest time in the garden, that is if the garden had something to harvest. It has been a very interesting experiment, some things grew great (beans, tomatoes, lettuce) others didn't produce as we had hoped (everything else). The peas did pretty good until the heat wave came and then they pretty much burned up, the peppers are still alive but as you can tell from the pictures aren't very big(even though these pics were taken a couple weeks ago, they aren't much bigger). It has been a good time going to the garden a few times a week, the kids have fun helping to water and exploring all the other gardens and Loni and I have a good chat and take some time to unwind from the day. It's been a good experiment and hopefully the next time we plant one it will be in our own backyard.
