September 6th marked the first day of school around here. My kids were more then ready to head back and play with friends. This is Tavie on her very first day of grade 2. She has an excellent teacher this year and most of her friends from last year are still in her class. It should be a great year for her.
September 7th marked the first day of kindergarten for Brecken. He also has a great teacher, the same one that Tavie had. This year is the first year for all day kinder. So the kids had a very staggered entrance. For the 7th ,8th and 9th they went for 1 hour each day. The 12th they went for 3 hours and the 13th he went for 4 hours.
I guess the sun was in his eyes :)
On the 8th his one hour time block happend to start the same time that Tavie had to go. He was so happy to walk to school with her.
Two VERY excited kids.
Yesterday marked the first day of ALL day classes. Brad had the day off so we all walked up as a family. It was strange to only have one kid at home all day, but Brad was here to keep me company. Today is a little different. Tavie and Brecken walked to school all by themselves. Tavie was pretty excited to have the responsiblily of taking Brecken to class and picking him up and walking him home. Its been pretty quiet around here. I have realized that most of the noise Huxley makes is from sibling harassment. So now that that isn't an issue anymore he is a very quiet and content kid. I don't quite know what to do with myself......maybe sit down and relax for a while :)
