Here is what we have been up to.

The past few weeks have ZOOMED by! Can you believe it is only a few weeks until school starts?  Crazy!  Here is what we have been up to....

I guess every second Saturday of the month Home Depot has little work shops for kids.  Brad took them to make Despicable Me cars.  They get to keep the little aprons and hard hats.  They loved it!
Sunday stroll to check out the tide pools..
Every summer the kids participate in the library reading program.  As part of that program they have activities through out the month.  Even though we have bins of Lego they still wanted to go the the library and build.
It has been a HOT DRY month.  The kids spend the majority of their day in their swimming suits playing outside in the sprinkler.
When Brad has the day off he likes to start it with a run.  Brecken usually rides his bike and goes with him and now when they get back Brad takes the boys on a little run.  Huxley LOVES it!  It's never too young to start :)
This Crazy kid turned 7!  He as more energy then anyone I know.  He is literally non-stop from the time he wakes up until his head hits the pillow at night. I had to make some rules because he would be gone for hours with out me seeing him.
Rule 1.  You must wait until 9am to head outside.  I am sure the neighbours would not appreciate a basketball bouncing outside at 7am.
Rule 2.  You must read 2 books before you head out.  He wants to complete the summer reading program and get a metal so he has to read books.
Rule 3.  You must check in every hour or so and don't go to far.  I need to be able to find you within 5 mins.
Rule 4.  You must have a hat/sunglasses and drink plenty of water when outside.  It has been HOT!

We are so blessed to live in a place where the great and beautiful outdoors is right on our doorstep.  When the kids want to swim we can just head to the lake/river/ocean with in 10 mins and cool off.
This summer we were lucky enough to have family come visit!  Brads brother Griff and his family came for a week.  The one think that I hate about living so far away is that my kids don't get to play with cousins.  They were so excited to have cousins to play with!
 Cooling off at Stotan Falls.
Griff and Jess brought their Kayak.  The kids had a blast on it.....guess what Brad wants to buy now....

We headed down island a bit one day and took a stroll through Cathedral Grove.
After hitting up Coombs and eating a yummy yummy meal at Goats on the Roof we headed to Parksville to the sandcastle competition.  They always amaze me.  Tavie loved it because they were all fairy tale themed.

Look who lost his two front teeth!  Yup, that HUGE gap is only from 2 teeth.

We took the kids to Nautical days.  It was pretty hot that day so we all cooled off with a snow cone.
Miracle treat day.  The only time I don't feel guilty for snarfing down a blizzard!
Which brings us back to Home Depot.  This time they made trucks.  It was a good month  :)
