Sunday afternoon at Shamrock Farms!

In typical fall island weather it has been raining a lot lately.  So today when the rain finally stopped we headed to a local pumpkin patch.  It is a cool farm that you can just go for free and play with the chicken, goats and of course roam the pumpkin fields.
They also had a maze that the kids had a blast running through.
Tavie and Brecken took turns pulling Hux in the wagon out to the pumpkin field.

By the time we arrived in the field we discovered that most of the pumpkins were already gone and the ones that were left were moldy.  Too bad, I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and buy some from a grocery store.

Tavie is a lot like me.  She loves all animals and has no fear of them.  She would have climbed over the fence and rode the goats if I would have let her.
She loved petting the goats and also feeding the chickens. Even Huxley let the chickens eat out of his hand.  As you can tell Brecken kept a safe distance from all the animals.

In the barn they had a haunted "Witches Brew Cafe"  Huxley wasn't too sure about it but Tavie and Brecken thought it was pretty cool.  It was a nice afternoon to get out, spend time with the family and get some fresh air.  The forecast for the next week and a half is non-stop rain.  I hope it lets up enough for the kids to go trick or treating without getting soaked!
