The kids were really excited to carve their pumpkins. Tavie and Brecken got down and dirty. Hux sat for the picture and then had no interest in the whole process.
For the first time Tavie did the whole thing by herself. She cleaned, designed and cut it out all by herself. Hers is the one on the left. Brecken designed his but I cut it out for him.At 4:00 we headed down to 5th street to go trick or treating to the stores. Unfortunately it was pouring rain. So after going up and down to all the stores we headed out for some food then back home to dump candy and head out again. Thankfully by the time they went out into the neighbourhood it stopped raining. Huxley went up and down our complex then was done. He was pretty excited about the whole process. This was the first year that he really 'got' what was going on.
After a few hours Tavie and Brecken were done too. So they came in, dumped the candy then started the whole "sorting" process. I threw out all the nasty stuff (who gives out goat milk suckers??) and they still had SO much candy!! Thankfully they are very willing to share their candy with us 'rents', but only got 3 Crunchie bars which are my fave! I guess that is a good thing :)
Ok, your kids are just too cute! And look at that candy stash! Very impressive! :)
ReplyDeleteThey were very ambitious. Dean and Och didn't even stay out that long. Thankfully, or i would have evn more candy tempting me!
