On Tuesday night when the kids were going to bed Tavie looked out the window and wished on the brightest star that she would be able to go to a nature park the next day. Not wanting to disappoint, we took the kids to Goose Spit after supper on Wednesday. It was such a beautiful night for a nice walk on the beach!
For some reason there were tons of large jellyfish that had washed up on shore. So we spent some time pushing them back into the water as we walked down the beach. But by the time we turned around and headed back, the tide had gone out about 6 feet and all the jellyfish that we had just rescued were beached again. Plus more! They are really pretty when they are in the water. When they are on land they look like large mounds of jello.
The kids had a blast exploring the shores and it felt good to get out and get some fresh air. We LOVE living on the Island where the ocean is only a few mins away from our house. And we LOVED spending time as a family on such a beautiful night.
